Why Design?
I am Sean Foran
As a child, I had an overactive imagination, but I never could’ve imagined that 2 decades later, my work would be on a billboard in Times Square.
It started with a toy called “Blue Man”. A simple action figure that, fueled by my imagination, was able to take on a million forms and live a thousand adventures. As I got older, I found a way to impact the world with my overactive imagination through design. At 17, I was drawn to a graphic design course that introduced me to the Adobe Suite. A combination of those early courses and self-teaching began my journey of improving my craft. I decided to pursue a BFA at Colorado State which helped me discover and fueled my passion for branding and advertising.
Years of hard work have led to achievements such as a billboard in Times Square and being featured in the 2023 Best of NOCO Magazine. However, I chose a career in graphic design because I want to leave a legacy of impact. When it’s time to look back on a lifetime of achievements, I hope to see that my overactive imagination was able to evoke emotions, start discussions, and cause positive change through design.
